Експериментальна та клінічна фізіологія і біохіміяIn this work we investigated the indicators of electrocardiograms, such as heartbeat frequency, duration of the cardiac cycle, the value of the interval PQ, QRS, ST and systolic index, under the influence of gamma irradiation and under action of pyridoxine in rabbits. 40 rabbits were selected for the experiment. The animals were divided into two groups: control and experimental. The experimental group the week before exposure and every day after irradiation was administered pyridoxine hydrochloride intramuscularly at a dose of 1 ml per head. Frequency of heartbeat and bioelectric potentials were researched using dual electrocardiograph EC 2T -0,2. As a result of the experiment, it was determined that radiation caused reduction of frequency of heartbeat rate, and in the light of pyridoxine activity in experimental group, frequency of heartbeat rate was not significantly higher compared with the control group. Administration of pyridoxine to rabbits of experimental group caused mainly increase in frequency of heartbeat rate, which was significant at the 1st, 5th, 15th day of the study. The duration of the cardiac cycle under exposure of radiation has increased in both control and experimental groups. It should be noted that this figure in rabbits of experimental group during the study was higher in comparison with the control group and the difference between the control and the experimental groups was likely on the 5th day and 76th of the research (р<0,05). The value of PQ interval wave during the study was higher in rabbits of the control group, as well as the experimental group. Thus, the value of PQ interval was higher in the experimental group, compared with the control group after irradiation and constituted 0,051 ± 0,006 s. vs. 0,041 ± 0,004 s. In the control group on the 5th day under 0,070 ± 0,002 s. vs. 0,069 ± 0,06 sec. after 55 days, 0,078 ± 0,005 s. in research, compared with 0,068 ± 0,007 s. in the control. The value of QRS wave interval during the experiment was higher in the experimental group of rabbits only on the 1st and 5th day. More time of the research QRS interval value wave was higher in the control group of rabbits. The value of QT interval wave was not significantly higher in rabbits of control group after irradiation, the 15th, 35th, 55th and 76th day, in comparison with the research. Regarding the systolic index, its value in the control group of rabbits in most days of the study was greater than in the experimental group after irradiation, 15th, 35th, 55th and 76th day of the research that indicates the recovery period of cardiac activity in rabbits of the experimental group, which was administered with vitamin B6. Utilization of vitamin B6 as a radioprotector positively influenced on heart function after irradiation of 100 R dose, which resulted in increase of the duration of the cardiac cycle, increasing the range of complexes PQ, QRS and QT. Systolic rate was also significantly higher in the experimental group of the rabbits (р<0,05) that indicates positive impact of pyridoxine upon heart muscle in conditions of gamma rays irradiation.
